In April 2025, Bolzano hosted a stage of the European U17 Circuit promoted by Badminton Europe for the third consecutive year.

This sporting event, called the ‘YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International’, saw a large turnout in 2025, with 149 athletes from 22 European countries participating: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and, of course, the Italian national team.

The overall technical level of the participating athletes has also become higher in this third edition of the ‘YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International’ and, thanks to this success, we have already communicated to the European federation (Badminton Europe) our intention to propose the fourth edition in 2026.

The PalaSport in Bolzano (a beautiful sports facility) will once again serve as the competition venue from 24 to 26 April 2026.

The amateur association ‘Sport Promotion Bolzano’ has once again managed to secure the support of its world-class technical partner (YONEX Germany), which will continue to provide its support until 2026, equipping the sport hall with the best equipment (including mats).

The event will also be supported by the Province of South Tyrol and the Municipality of Bolzano.

Since 2015, there has also been a badminton school in South Tyrol (SBS - Südtirol Badminton School), which promotes Italian and foreign talent. For example, Yasmine Hamza is one of the SBS's top players who, thanks to her many medals won on the international stage, has managed to enter the WR Top 100 (status week 47/2025).
